What the hell is wrong (and sometimes right)

I kill things for a living. That's what I do. I kill hoping that some day it might save someone’s life or do some good in the world. I have no conflicting morals about killing, but I do feel sad about it sometimes. Doing this, being so close to death, gives you a different perspective then some people about living. For one thing it occurs to you much more frequently how fragile life is. I mean most of the things that I kill are nowhere near the point of death prior to me, then I come along and snatch the breath right out of them.
Have you ever held a dog while it died? Let me tell you that is a peaceful way to go. One minute you’re just this happy fun loving dog and the next your feeling sleepy and poof you’re dead. Not such a bad way to go. When I die that's one of the good ways to go. Now getting your head chopped off that's a bad way to go. I don't care what any Vet says; chopping off the head is nasty.
The moral quandary I do put myself in at times like this is the value of life and the whole G*D issue. If there is a G*D (and I think there is) why does he have us kill in order to survive? Don’t get all righteous and tell me that we don't or that we don't anymore, that is just BS. Man would not have survived to this point without killing to eat, and man must keep killing in order to learn and con't to have a growing society. We are all killers, even those vegan people tho' they try really hard not to. So why? I mean what is the great lesson that we are supposed to be learning from it all? And if we learn it will we still have to keep killing?

Elizabeth Smart was just found alive. I'm so glad for her and her family. I don't know how she will recover but I do wish her well.

I hate getting up in the morning. I'm not so sure what is valuable about working at 6 or 7 in the morning but I'm pretty sure it could be just as valuable
at 12. I know it goes against conventional corporate thinking but I'm pretty sure that my work would be just as effective if not more so if I came to
work later. My boss's boss doesn't agree. I think that if people got to sleep in more, there would be less violence in the world. All those sad saps that
go shooting up the office and killing their families might be inclined to rein it in just a bit if they had more sleep. Think about it, I know that I'm much
less edgy if I get to sleep in just a few times a week. Oh sure those people who are NOT night owls are always saying "just go to bed earlier" but it
really doesn't work that way, the body only craves sleep at 6:00 am. It's even worse they say for teenagers, who apparently need the most sleep and get
the least. High school which is suppose to be a great place for you kid to go (I'm not so sure about that) basically insist that your child gets up and
stays awake, some teachers are so bad about assigning homework that a some kids have to stay up half the night to finish it. If the world was right, the
mexican influence on our society would take over and allow everyone a siesta every afternoon for 2 hrs

Two boys were kidnapped this morning and returned with hours. Which is great. But what the hell makes people do such sick things? Remember Elizabeth Smart? Poof just disappered gone. What is really wrong is that we spend more money on the "war on drugs" then keeping little kids safe. Some how my goverment has the mistaken impression that I need protection from the rabid pot smokers (right, like what is a stoner going to? steal my potato chips and watch TV?), more then our kids need to be protected from sicko's. The crazy part is it isn't even working. Anyone who wants to smoke pot, or shot herion, can find it within minutes. What I find offensive is that our jails are filled with nonvolent offenders and so they let out child molseters and rapists so that they have more room for someone growing pot. Does that make sense to anyone? As if we don't have enough sicko's in the world, our jail system is so bad, in a thousand diffrent ways, that our once nonvolient offender becomes just one more SICK basterd.
What the hell is wrong......? is that nothing we do is going to change it, we can sit here and talk about it, everyone can agree that things shouldn't be this way, but it won't change anything. We are helpless as our children, the future, get ripped out of our houses, off of our streets, taken.
